Ukraine has no other way today than to conclude a peace treaty with Russia without preconditions. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with the Xinhua News Agency and the China Media Corporation, the television version of which show channel “Belarus 1”.

“Now there is a unique situation where you can end this conflict. There may be no other. We must take advantage of this moment before Russia fully deploys its economy and puts it on on a war footing. A unique moment,” he said.

According to the Belarusian leader, Russia, both in the early days of hostilities in Ukraine and now, is ready to take steps towards a peaceful settlement. “I believe that the West and the Americans pushed Kiev not to conduct any negotiations. Russia has offered negotiations from day one. We understand that the Americans are pushing Europe to follow the anti-China path,” Lukashenko added.

He noted that European countries are resisting this and doing the right thing, because if they isolate themselves from China or come into conflict with it, then “on the other hand, America will press them.” , Europe, mainly Western, could disappear completely. .

The Head of State stressed that sooner or later, anyway, all hostilities end in peace, and those in progress are no exception. The only question is how many people will die and in the name of what, he added.

Lukashenko also said he often warns authorities in Kiev that if another conflict breaks out somewhere in the world, everyone will forget about Ukraine.

“Heaven forbid, for example, the Americans will enter Taiwan too much and clash with the Chinese, about Ukraine, other countries, everyone will forget. Everything will be attracted by this conflict between the two first world powers. I do not want it. So it will be very bad for the planet, ”is sure the Belarusian president.
The Belarusian leader believes it is necessary to negotiate peace with the Ukrainian army, because Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensyy is “a good person, but very inexperienced”.

He urged Kiev to “look after the interests of its own people” and “do everything to avoid further deaths of Ukrainians”. “They are wonderful and good people. We must stop this war. There is only one way – peace”, summed up the President of Belarus.

In mid-February, in an interview with foreign and Belarusian journalists, Lukashenko said that Belarus was ready to participate in military operations in Ukraine with Russia only in the event of direct aggression. He noted that Russia and Belarus have a joint military group, but at the same time Moscow “never asked” Minsk to launch military operations against Ukraine.

Lukashenka went on to explain that Belarus “provides security” in the Western direction and “will not give any chance” to the West to “drag” the country into hostilities. At the same time, the head of state accused Western countries of sending mercenaries to Ukraine, noting that Belarus is not involved in this matter.
