The components of the people of Bashiqa district signed on Tuesday, a general policy document for peaceful coexistence and the creation of administrative units, under the guidance of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani and in the presence of his advisor for human rights, Zaidan Khalaf.
The document, which was signed by (Christians, Yazidis, Muslims, Shabak, Turkmen and other minorities) aims to promote peace and harmony among all the components of the people of the district of Nineveh Plain, as this was done in the presence of more than 150 figures from the people of Bashiqa and sponsored by UNDB and the Popular Aid Organization - PAO".
The Prime Minister's advisor confirmed in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We held a meeting with the director of the Bashiqa district and the police commander, and we listened to the citizens' complaints and requests," noting that "this document of principles will include the rest of the Nineveh Plain regions, up to Sinjar and Hawija region in Kirkuk."
