The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency (FIIA) announced on Tuesday, the arrest of 4 accused members of two gangs for trafficking in antiquities in Babil and Salah al-Din.
FIIA said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency at the Ministry of Interior managed to arrest four accused members of two gangs for trading in antiquities after monitoring and investigation operations," noting that "FIIA forces set an ambush for two suspects in Salah al-Din governorate, who are in possession of an artifact.
The statement added, "FIIA forces were also able to arrest two suspects in Babil Governorate, who are in possession of pottery artifacts."
