Iraqi-French continues cooperation in Counter-Terrorism is important, says Al-Araji

The National Security Adviser, Qasim Al-Araji, stressed on Saturday, the importance of continuing cooperation and partnership between Baghdad and Paris in the field of Counter-Terrorism.

Al-Araji received in his office the French ambassador to Baghdad, Eric Chevalier as the reviewed the wonderful opening of Gulf Football Cup Championship 25 in Basra, according to a statement by the media office of the National Security Adviser, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He expressed the :Iraqis' hope that this success would be crowned by lifting the ban on Iraqi stadiums."

Both discussed "the political and security situation, at regional and international levels, as they emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and partnership between Baghdad and Paris in the field of Counter-Terrorism in addition to exchanging information and expertise."

They also discussed, "the file of the Syrian al-Hol camp and the importance of ending this sensitive file, to support efforts to Counter-Terrorism for the stability of the region and the world."
