Al-Sudani: Our government will continue strengthening role of our Armed Forces in all its forms

Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani congratulated the Iraqi Army on the occasion of its founding anniversary, while stressing that the government will continue to work to strengthen the role of the armed forces of all forms.

 Al-Sudani said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The one hundred and second year passes since the establishment of our heroic Iraqi army, the arm of the state and the symbol of its independence, and this memory comes today, and we live in an atmosphere of stability, which was not achieved except with the great sacrifices and precious blood that it made on the side of all the national armed forces with all their types and duties.”

He added, "The armed forces maintain a rich record of victories, the latest of which was the heroism it achieved  through victory over terrorism and the restoration of our land.”

He asserted, "The government will continue, within its program, to work to strengthen the role of our armed forces of all forms, led by our heroic Iraqi army, and to work on the technological and field development of its combat weapons, and to raise the capabilities of movement, deployment, holding the land, and repelling aggression.
