The Iraqi army celebrates its 102nd founding anniversary

Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi congratulated on Friday the Iraqi army on its 102nd founding anniversary.

Al-Halbousi said in a tweet, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "A tribute to our valiant Iraqi army of all its ranks, on the anniversary of its founding, and a stand of honor for its martyrs and its heroic wounded."

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari congratulated the Iraqi army on its 102nd anniversary.

Al-Shammari said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "On the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the valiant Iraqi army, it gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and to this national institution, whose heroes of all ranks made great sacrifices in defense of Iraq and its people.

He continued: "In these historical moments, with the heroes and brave men of this army, the scenes of heroism, pride, and sacrifice that they wrote during the liberation battles were recalled, so they were truly Iraq's first front, its advanced sheild, its most precious title, its impenetrable fence, and its high wall."

On his part, Education Minister Ibrahim Names al-Jubouri congratulated today, Friday, the Iraqi army on the occasion of its founding anniversary.

A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "The Minister of Education, Ibrahim Names al-Jubouri, extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to our Iraqi people on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the founding of our heroic Iraqi army."

In a related context, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, congratulated the Iraqi army on the occasion of its founding anniversary.

 Al-Aboudi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We extend to our valiant Iraqi army congratulations full of pride and honor on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of its founding and the emergence of its national holiday, in which we evoke the heroism, glories and courageous stances embodied by the scarifying sons of this holy land in defense of the homeland and its great people.
