Basra announces its full readiness to launch the Gulf Championship 25

    Basra Governorate confirmed its technical and logistical readiness for the launch of the Gulf Championship 25, and while clarifying the situation regarding match tickets and the reason for not meeting them in full, it confirmed that the lighting of the championship stadiums meets the standards, noting that 35 hotels have been prepared to receive the arrivals.

    The assistant governor of Basra for technical affairs and youth and sports departments, Ali Hussein Aziz, told Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Basra is ready in all technical, logistical and security aspects, and plans are subject to continuous review by the Supreme Committee to ensure the best conditions during the Gulf Championship 25.".

    He added, "The stadiums of the Sports City and the port are fully ready to host the championship matches, as well as the attached training stadiums," pointing out that "with regard to the issue of selling tickets for the opening match, the responsibility for that lies with the Arab Gulf Cup Federation, and it contracted with (Royal) and it provided An electronic link for purchase, given that tickets do not belong to Iraq only.
    He continued, ".

    Aziz stressed, "The capacity of the stadium for the Iraqi national team's matches is 65,000 spectators, and this cannot be increased, and we urge the public to accept the matter, and whoever did not have the opportunity to obtain a ticket, he can follow the matches through giant screens that were installed in separate places in Basra.".

    He pointed out that "the lighting of the championship and training stadiums is ready and has been examined by the competent Gulf committee, and with regard to the port stadium, the lighting was on the green rectangle, and it was reviewed and other lighting was added, and everything is ready and going well."
