Kirkuk International Airport administration counted the number of flights the airport has received since its opening, confirming that it will establish a direct line to Basra to transport the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup audience.
"Since its opening last October, 26th until the end of this year, Kirkuk International Airport has received 100 flights. The number of travelers coming to the province of Kirkuk reached 3064, as the number of departing passengers reached 3458,” said the Media Director of Kirkuk Airport, Herdi Samad, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He included, "The airport management will open a direct line from Kirkuk to Basra on January 5th to transport those wishing to come to watch the Gulf Cup matches on a daily basis."
