Qatar and UAE football federations expected Iraq's success in hosting Gulf Cup 25th, noting that it would be ideal in terms of organization, team levels and audience.
"Hosting atmosphere in the province is ideal and the organization is of a high-level. We thank everyone for the perfect preparation," said the member of the Media Committee of Gulf Cup 25th, Director of Marketing and Communication in Qatar Federation, Khalid Al-Kuwari in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency – INA, pointing out "there is relentless work in order to make the cup draw ceremony a success.”
He expressed, "All things indicate that Iraq will host an ideal tournament with a large audience. The Iraqi audience has a special taste and a fan of football."
In turn, the Secretary-General of UAE Football Association, Mohammed Hazam Al-Dhaheri, stressed in a statement to INA, his country's support for Basra hosting to the Gulf Cup 25th tournament.
"What we saw today during the visit to Basra is a joyful thing. We thank the warm welcome from the brothers in the Iraqi Federation and we thank Arab Gulf Cup Federation for this wonderful organization," said Al-Dhaheri.
He highlighted, "Holding the tournament in Basra focuses the attention upon all the Gulf countries that will be in this tournament," indicating their support for Basra's hosting this football event and their expectation of an ideal tournament in terms of organization, team levels and audience.
Basra has been into an atmosphere of preparations for hosting the draw for Gulf Cup 25th.
