President Rashid arrives in Nineveh on an inspection visit

    President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, arrived Wednesday in Nineveh on an inspection visit.

     A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, arrived today in Nineveh Governorate to oversee the conditions of the city and its inhabitants," noting that "the president was accompanied by a number of ministers, who are both the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Names Al-Jubouri, and the Minister of Water Resources Aoun Dhiab Abdullah, Minister of Environment Nizar Amidi, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, Minister of Migration and Displaced Evan Faiq Jabro and a number of senior officials.

     It added that "Rashid visited the governorate building upon his arrival, and met with the governor, Najm al-Jubouri, and the advanced administrative staff in the provincial council, in addition to the security leaders and a number of the governorate's deputies."

    The President of the Republic referred, according to the statement, to "the value that Nineveh Governorate enjoys for all Iraqis, in addition to its natural and agricultural wealths and resources," calling for "the need for serious endeavor by all relevant authorities to revive the province economically, urbanly, and culturally."

     He stressed that "Mosul is able to overcome the dark periods during the Daesh gangs, return to its previous position, solve its problems, and enhance its security stability and the unity of its population," pointing to "the importance of serious work to implement and meet the legitimate demands of the people of the province, in order to reach positive results that elevate its reality and fulfill the hopes of its people for a free and dignified life." 

     He pointed to "the importance of strengthening civil peace and strengthening social ties by urging the adoption of positive ideas that overcome obstacles to the development of Mosul in all fields," stressing "the need to improve the service reality of Mosul through the reconstruction of the liberated areas therein, the adoption of modern planning, and the start of the completion of relevant projects."
