Rasoul: The news of disappearance of an American journalist is untrue and unfounded

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Special Forces, Yahya Rasoul, confirmed today, Thursday, that the news circulating about the disappearance of an American journalist is not true. 

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Rasoul said, "Some social media sites circulated news about (the disappearance of an American citizen in central or southern Iraq, in mysterious circumstances, working as a journalist)," noting that "this news is untrue and unfounded." . 

Rasoul called on the media and bloggers to be accurate in transmitting information and knowing the real news from its official sources exclusively.
