The Investigation Department of the Federal Commission of Integrity COI revealed that a decision had been issued to place a precautionary seizure on the funds of the fugitive defendant, the former Undersecretary of the Minister of Electricity, and to prevent his travel.
A statement by the Department indicated that the Second Karkh Investigation Court decided to take a precautionary seizure on the funds of the fugitive defendant, the former Undersecretary of the Minister of Electricity, regarding the complaint filed against him by one of the owners of the companies, that the accused requested a sum of money as a “bribe” in return for awarding one of the tenders announced in the Ministry of Electricity to the company, indicating that the decision was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article (121).
The statement added that the court had already issued, on the twenty-fifth of last August, an arrest and search warrant against the accused, in accordance with the provisions of Article (Second / 1) of Resolution No. (160 of 1983).
