The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faeq Zaidan, discussed today, Thursday, with his Jordanian counterpart, Muhammad Al-Ghazo, ways to enhance judicial cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Supreme Judicial Council visited the Judicial Council in Jordan and met with the President of the Court of Cassation, the President of the Judicial Council, Judge Muhammad al-Ghazou." .
He added, "The meeting discussed ways of judicial cooperation between the two brotherly countries and emphasized the relationship between Iraq and Jordan in the field of judicial and legal cooperation, and the importance of joint cooperation to find solutions to the challenges facing judicial work in the Arab countries."
Meanwhile, Judge Zaidan and his accompanying delegation visited the Jordanian Judicial Institute and were briefed on the institute's system and attachments. It was agreed to conclude a memorandum of understanding with the Iraqi Judicial Institute.
