Prime Minister Mohamed Shia’a Al-Sudani congratulated the Kingdom of Morocco on qualifying its football team for the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
Al-Sudani said in a tweet, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Mubarak to brotherly Morocco, the qualification of its national team, and its entry into history as the first Arab team to qualify for this round of the World Cup championship."
He added, "We wish the Moroccan people and other brotherly and friendly peoples more success and prosperity."
Morocco achieved a historic achievement, qualifying for the first time to the round of 8 of the World Cup, after defeating Spain on penalties with three goals for nothing.
