Iraq participates in 139th Assembly of IPU

Baghdad-INA Works of the 139^th Assembly of the Inter- Parliamentary Union (IPU) started, on Monday, in Geneva, Switzerland, with the participation of Iraqi parliamentary  delegation, headed by first deputy of Speaker, Hassan Kareem al-Ka’bi. According to statement, INA received a copy of, said that it is due to elect head of the 139^th national Assembly, let alone, tackling topics on its agenda. The statement said that the Iraqi delegation has  an effective participation in number of the coordinating meetings with Islamic, Arab, Asian states, in addition to the meetings of Women in Parliaments Global Forum. The Iraqi delegation is to attend meetings of the permanent Peace and security committees, the sustainable developments, trade, democracy and human rights, United Nations affairs, women meeting, youth and specialized committees.
