The Iraqi National Security Service INSS announced Friday the arrest of 38 blackmailers in Baghdad and the provinces.
A statement by INSS , which was received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the detachments of the Service in Baghdad and the provinces carried out separate duties, during which they were able to arrest (38) blackmailers, one of whom bargained with a person for an amount of (50) million dinars in exchange for not publishing pictures of his family on social media."
The statement added, "The arrests took place in tight ambushes, by luring the accused and overthrowing them red-handed, and then handing them over to the competent authorities after writing down their statements to receive their just punishment."
