Iraqi National Security service (INSS) announced on Monday, the seizure of oil hideouts in Baghdad and the provinces.
“The device's INSS, in coordination with the relevant authorities, have begun the process of seizing one of the smuggling dens, which operates under the cover of an unauthorized industrial plant that refines the smuggled black oil, an integrated oxidized asphalt plant and large quantities of oil products, in addition to a number of smuggling tanks,” A statement by INSS, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated.
"INSS detachments were able to arrest the person responsible for the site," the statement added.
It continued, " INSS detachments were also able to seize 5 vehicles and two tanks containing (106) thousand liters of oil derivatives intended for smuggling in the governorates of Nineveh, Basra, Salah al-Din, and Diwaniyah," noting that "the seizures were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary measures."
