Al-Ja’fari, al Muallem discuss bilateral trade

    Baghdad-INA Iraq’s Foreign Minister, Ibrahim al-Ja’fari, discussed, on Monday, with his Syrian counterpart Walid al- Muallem, ways to enhance bilateral relations and efforts exerted to fight terrorism and the reopening of Albu Kamal crossing point. A statement by the Ministry, INA received a copy of, said that Al-Ja’fari met Deputy of the Syrian Prime Minister,  Al-Muallem in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and the meeting tackled holding meetings of the joint Iraq-Syrian Committee during the coming period, and the opening of Albu Kamal crossing point for its great role in trade exchange between the two countries. Al-Ja’fari emphasized during the meeting on the deep rooted relations between Iraq and Syria, referring to Iraq’s keenness to open new aspects of mutual cooperation in various fields especially that related to fight terrorism, calling to intensify talks to hold meetings of the joint committee. For his part,  Al-Muallem stressed on his country’s keenness to improve bilateral cooperation in all aspects, hailing Iraq’s supportive stances to Syria in Arab and world communities and in fighting terrorism, calling to hasten to reopen the crossing points between the neighboring countries .
