Iraq exports 60 industrial materials abroad

    Iraqi Federation of Industries revealed that 60 materials were exported abroad, while the Ministry of Industry and Minerals indicated that it contributed to reducing the unemployment.

    "Iraq’s factories were demolished and stolen after 2003. The partnership law between the private and public sectors is a piece of paper," said the head of the Iraqi Federation of Industries, Adel Agab, to the “Wajib Al-Saraha” TV show on Al-Iraqiya News TV, followed by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    He noted, "It exports 60 items abroad, including juices."

    For his part, the Director General of Industrial Development at the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Aziz Nadhim, said during the TV show, "The Ministry of Industry has contributed to reducing unemployment, and we want to reach a solution to the problem of industry," noting that "the whole factories have been demolished in some provinces."

    He explained, "The Ministry of Industry is striving to create a state of competition," stressing that "cement has been banned from import since 2015."
