The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced today, Sunday, the signing of the contract for organizing the 25th Gulf Championship in Basra.
The ministry said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "today, the contract for organizing the 25th Gulf Championship was signed in Basra between the Iraqi Central Football Federation and the Laurel International Management Company," noting that "this was done under the sponsorships of the Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Al-Mubarqa."
The ministry added, "This signing is an important step in order to complete all the requirements for holding the championship in Basra early next year," noting that "the company will, in accordance with the terms of this contract, organize the tournament's activities and all related details in accordance with international standards in organizing similar tournaments with the aim of showing it In the best image befitting Iraq, Basra and the honorable Iraqi public.
