Al-Mandalawi meets French ambassador, to discuss investment in the oil and gas fields

The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, discussed with the French Ambassador to Iraq Eric Chevalier, today, Tuesday, the expansion of investment in the fields of oil and gas.
 The media office of First Deputy Speaker said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, received the French Ambassador to Iraq (Eric Chevalier), to discuss files of mutual interest."
According to the statement, Al-Mandalawi stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the two friendly countries, expanding the work of French investment companies, especially in the fields of oil, gas and energy, as well as activating memoranda of understanding, increasing cultural exchange, and working together to achieve the interests of the two peoples.
For his part, the ambassador conveyed the French government's desire to support Iraq's stability, its keenness to establish a strong relationship with the Parliament and the Iraqi government, and to enhance cooperation with it in all fields to achieve common interests.
