Minister of Oil Hayan abdul Ghani presided the meeting of operations which is regularly held to discuss affairs of distribution, refining and providing fuel for power plants, the ministry of oil said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency INA.
Abdul Ghani confirmed during the meeting, encouraging investment in the feilds of distribution, refining and providing fuel for electric power plants, clarifying that the governmental program aims to meet the primary needs of the people, increase production and oil exports, develop infrastructure and make progress in financial income supporting national economy.
Minister of oil also stressd working to maximize the strategic storage of petroleum products, and work to achieve a smooth flow of petroleum products from warehouses to citizens and distribution outlets, in addition to encouraging residential complexes, hospitals and restaurants to use liquid gas through tanks and pipelines systems, in cooperation with the Gas Filling and Services Company.
In this concern, undersecretary for refining and distribution affairs, Hamid Younis confirmed the ministry’s success in implementing items of the fuel plan in providing fuel for power stations and governmental and civil generators, in addition to distribution of fuel for northern provinces followed by middle and southern provinces.
He also added that the ministry is carrying on implementing plans for national production increase by establishing multiple refining projects.
