President Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid stressed today, Monday, the importance of coordinating efforts and stances between Iraq and the Czech Republic.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, stated that "President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Peter Stepanek," noting that "the ambassador handed the President of the Republic a written message from the President of the Czech Republic" Milos Zeman, congratulated the President on the occasion of his assumption of the duties of the Presidency of the Republic.
In his message, the President of the Czech Republic confirmed, according to the statement, "his country's desire to consolidate relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries."
Meanwhile, President Abdel Latif Jamal Rashid conveyed his greetings to the ambassador and thanked President Zeman, stressing "the need to develop relations between the two countries in the service of common interests."
Rashid pointed out "the importance of coordinating efforts and stances between Iraq and the Czech Republic on issues of common interest and in a way that achieves security and stability at the regional and international levels."
