Iraq: Foreign companies rely on local labors in projects

Nineveh Governor Najim al-Jubouri confirmed on Saturday, that foreign companies working in the Nineveh projects depend on local labors.

The Turkish company working on the fourth bridge project, and the Egyptian company implementing the fifth bridge depended on Iraqi labors and engineers in the projects and at Nineveh airport, especially the people of the governorate, according to Al-Jubouri’s statement to the Iraqi News Agency – INA.

He highlighted, saying, "the governorate delivered its plans within the emergency support to the Ministry of Planning, and it was submitted in turn to the Ministry of Finance for the purpose of disbursing allocations."

"The governorate is waiting for the completion of the disbursement process," he concluded.
