The United Nations Assistance mission for Iraq (UNAMI) called Today, Monday, on the active actors in Iraq for dialogue and to meet the needs of the people.
UNAMI stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that " a year ago, Iraqis went to the polls with the hope of charting a new future for their country, It was a hard e-earned elections brought about my public pressure from nationwide protest in which several hundreds of young Iraqis lost their lives and thousand were injured regardful this reaffirmation of democracy was followed by divisive policies and generating bitter public dislliution.”
The statement added, "Iraq is running out of time ,the protracted crisis is breeding further instability and recent events are testament to that , in addition is threaten peoples the adoption for budget 2023 before the end of the year is imperative ."
It continued, "relentless efforts were undertaken in the past weeks and month for all actors to embark on the path toward political stability but to no avail, it’s no time for political class to assume responsibility and match words with action."
It explained “all actors must engage in dialogue without preconditions, through compromise , they must collectively agree on the key outcome that reaffirm their public stated objective , which is to service the needs of the Iraqi people and establish a fully empowered and effective government the time to act is now .”
