790 IDPs return from Al-Hol camp

    The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced today, Friday, the completion of the return of 790 displaced families to Iraq from Al-Hol camp by 6 meals, while revealing the distribution of 3600 grants. 

    The ministry's spokesman, Ali Abbas Jahangir, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The ministry was able to transfer 790 families from the camp, and the safety of their security position was confirmed to their areas of residence in the form of 6 meals," noting that "the process of transferring families to Iraq is continuing." .    

    He added, "There is no return for any family unless the security situation is confirmed," noting that "the Supreme Security Committee meets with families in the camps, one family after another, and one individual after another, after which they are transferred to Iraq.".

    He added, "The return of displaced families is done voluntarily in accordance with charters and international humanitarian law, and there is no process of forcing the displaced," noting that "the ministry has not yet registered a refusal to return by families to their areas of residence, and the process of registering families wishing to return continues.".

    Regarding financial grants for displaced families inside Iraq, Jahangir stressed that "the ministry launches financial grants of (one and a half million) for each displaced family inside Iraq for one time and according to the financial abundance available in the ministry.".
