FM Hussein: Iraq is keen to build the best relations with various countries of the world

    Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed on Friday, that Iraq is keen to build the best relations with the different countries of the world.
     
    “FM Hussein met with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan, on the sidelines the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, as they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries ways to advance them to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples, and Iraq’s efforts to alleviate the tensions between Riyadh and Tehran,” Said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-MOFA in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    Hussein stressed that "Iraq is keen to establish the best relations with the various countries of the world, especially the Arab countries, in order to activate common interests and confront common dangers," pointing to "the importance of concerted efforts to return stability to the region by adopting dialogue, and not to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries."
     
    He also stressed "The necessity of security coordination to fight the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs."
     
    For his part, the Saudi Foreign Minister affirmed his country support to the the unity and stability of Iraq, stressing that the tension in the region calls for more efforts, and everyone's contribution in order to find peaceful solutions that restore security and stability.
