The Border Ports Commission -BPC announced that more than 97,000 arrivals had entered and more than 150,000 others had left yesterday, Wednesday, September 14, through 7 border ports, including Baghdad and Najaf International Airports.
The spokesman for BPC , Alaeddin al-Qaisi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Zurbatiya border port witnessed the entry of 39,565 arrivals, compared to the departure of 74,548 people, while the Shalamcheh border port recorded the entry of 19,236 arrivals, compared to the departure of 36,303 people.".
Al-Qaisi added, "Al-Sheeb border crossing witnessed the entry of 9,432 expatriates, while 21,478 others left, while the Al-Mandhiriya border crossing recorded the entry of 6,535 expatriates, compared to 13,741 departures, and the Safwan border port witnessed the entry of 3,870 expatriates, compared to the departure of 177 others.".
He added, "Al-Najaf International Airport witnessed the entry of 18,222 arrivals, compared to the departure of 6206 people, while Baghdad International Airport recorded the entry of 881 arrivals.".
He concluded by saying that "the total number of arrivals through the aforementioned seven border crossing points amounted to 97,741 arrivals, while the total number of departures reached 152,453."
