Maysan Operations Commander Major General Muhammad Jassim Al-Zubaidi announced today, Thursday, the success of the security and service plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage , while confirming the start of implementing the third phase of the security plan to protect government departments and the role of citizens.
Al-Zubaidi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the security and service plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein succeeded without incidents or violations," noting that "this came during the cooperation of the local government in the governorate, government departments and the Police Directorate.”
Al-Zubaidi stressed, "The leadership has begun implementing the third phase of the security plan for the protection of government departments and the role of citizens who intended to visit the holy city of Karbala to perform the Arba'een of Imam Hussein."
It is noteworthy that the Maysan Governorate received thousands of pilgrims for the Arbaeen anniversary of Imam Hussein through the Al-Sheeb border crossing, who were promoted smoothly and orderly and without any security incidents.
