Al-Kadhimi stressed the government's keenness to build the best relations with Japan

    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi received on Wednesday, the Japanese Ambassador,Suzuki Kotaro, on the occasion of the end of his work in Iraq.

    "During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Japan and ways to enhance joint cooperation in various fields in a way that contributes to achieving the interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries," The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    Al-Kadhimi stressed the government's keenness to build the best relations with Japan and expressed willingness to have greater opportunities for cooperation between the two countries at various levels and levels, and in various fields, especially in the areas of energy, renewable energy, investment, and education, as well as encouraging Japanese companies to participate in the promising investment opportunities in Iraq.

    For his part, Ambassador Kotaro presented a letter of thanks from the Japanese Prime Minister,Fumio Kishida, to the Prime Minister, Al-Kadhimi, stressing the Japanese government's interest in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and continuing Japan's support for Iraq. He also valued the Iraqi government's approach to promoting dialogue and calm in the region, to establish security and stability.
