EU: We call on all parties to maintain utmost restraint

The European Union - EU called on all parties in Iraq to maintain the utmost restraint.

"We call on all parties to maintain utmost restraint," said the European Union mission in Iraq in a brief statement received by the Iraqi News Agency- INA. 

Earlier, the United Nations Mission in Iraq - UNAMI called on all parties to refrain from violence immediately.

UNAMI said in a brief statement received by INA, "We call on all parties to refrain from violence immediately," noting that "restraint and calm are necessary in order for the voice of reason to prevail."
