Washington offers condolences for the victims of Imam Ali's Qattara, peace be upon him

The US embassy in Baghdad offered condolences to the victims of Qattara accident of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in the holy Karbala.

The embassy said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the United States offers its condolences to the victims of the landslide near the Imam Ali Qattara in Karbala."

"We extend our support to the civil defense teams of the General Civil Defense Directorate and the Iraqi security forces for their rescue efforts. We hope and pray for the safe return to their families of those who are still trapped,"  The embassy added.
