The Minister of Planning, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, announced that the South Korean support has strengthened Iraq's efforts in implementing projects.
The media of the Ministry of Planning said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Monday, that "Minister Khaled Battal met, in his office in the ministry's office, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Iraq, " Jang Kyung-wook " and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Director General of the Department of International Cooperation, Dr. Saher Abdel-Khadim, they discussed prospects for joint cooperation between the two friendly countries, in the commercial, economic, investment, technical and scientific fields, and ways to enhance this cooperation to serve the interests of the two peoples.
The statement added that "the Minister of Planning appreciated the level of cooperation and the support that Korea provided and continues to provide to Iraq, noting that" this support contributed to boosting the efforts of the Iraqi government, especially with regard to reconstruction operations, as well as through the implementation of service projects, in many provinces, stressing the importance of scientific cooperation and benefiting from Korean expertise in developing the capabilities of Iraqi cadres in various fields.
In addition, the two sides discussed completing the requirements of the scientific and technical cooperation agreement between Iraq and Korea, and determining the place and time of its signing by the two sides.
