Al-Kadhimi, Al-Hakim discuss developments in the political scene and distance the interests of citizens from differences

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi discussed Sunday with the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, developments in the political scene and the distancing of the interests of citizens and state institutions from the differences of political forces.

The media office of the head of the Wisdom Movement stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Sayyed Al-Hakim, received in his office in Baghdad, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and discussed with him the developments of the political, social and service scene," noting "the importance of keeping the interests of citizens and state institutions away from differences of the Political forces".

 Sayyed Al-Hakim reiterated, "The necessity of investing the financial abundance resulting from the rise in oil prices in improving the economic and social reality and diversifying sources of income," stressing that "the financial abundance is an accidental event that must be invested in reviving projects that end the rentier state."

 He stressed, "attention to the electricity sector and working to maintain it so that cases of complete outage do not recur in some provinces," noting "the importance of reforming the political system and combating corruption, and the need to use legal methods and the constitution and adopt the principle of consultation among all so that the reform enjoys popular and societal support from all spectrums."  

 He called "the government and security services to continue military and security operations to strike terrorism in its strongholds," pointing out "the need to maintain relations with neighboring countries and the world based on the constant national interest and Iraqi sovereignty."
