Amiri and the United Nations envoy, Jeanine Plasschaert, discussed today, Thursday, the political situation and the Turkish bombing.
Al-Amiri's office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the head of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Hadi Al-Amiri, received in his office in Baghdad today, the UN envoy, Jenin Plasschaert," noting that "the latest developments in the political situation and ways to address the blockage and the need to continue dialogues and understandings were discussed." In order to reach realistic and acceptable results, constitutional frameworks are adopted.
He added, "The file of the Turkish bombing and the abuses that occur by the Turks on the Iraqi borders were discussed."
For her part, Plasschaert stressed "the necessity of stabilizing the political situation in Iraq and reaching common solutions that satisfy all parties."
