Chelsea is reportedly planning an offer for Frenkie de Jong, with the Blues looking to beat Manchester United to the Barcelona midfielder's signature.
De Jong has been at the centre of one of the most high-profile transfer sagas of the summer, with Man United desperately attempting to bring him to Old Trafford.
The Netherlands international is said to be keen to remain at Camp Nou, but he could leave before the transfer deadline, with the Red Devils allegedly not giving up despite finding it difficult to finalise an agreement.
Arecent report claimed that Man United were preparing one final contract offer for the midfielder, which would make him the club's highest-earning player in excess of £450,000 a week.
However, there have also been suggestions of interest from Chelsea, and De Jong would allegedly favour a move to Stamford Bridge over Old Trafford.
