The Islamic Republic of Iran expressed Thursday its condemnation of the Turkish bombing, which resulted in deaths and injuries in Dohuk Governorate, while stressing the importance of stability for the security of Iraq.
In a statement seen by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, condemned the "bombing of the Iraqi city of Zakho, which resulted in deaths and injuries of citizens."
Kanaani expressed his "sympathy with the families of the victims and the government and people of Iraq," stressing "the importance of stability and security in Iraq."
He added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran sees the security of Iraq as one of its security and will not hesitate to provide any assistance in this regard."
