36 accused of possession of weapons and drug dealing arrested in Baghdad

Security Media Cell announced Friday the arrest of 36 suspects and the seizure of a number of weapons, unlicensed ammunition and narcotics in the capital, Baghdad.

SMC stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the joint detachments / Baghdad Operations Command, which are deployed on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa, achieved the following results: the arrest of (36) accused according to various legal articles, including those accused of possessing unlicensed weapons and ammunition, and drug dealers.”

 SMC stressed, "The arrestees and the seized materials have been referred to the competent authorities to take legal measures against them."
