National Security: Dismantling two international drug trafficking networks in Baghdad

    National Security Agency - NSA announced on Saturday, dismantling two international drug trafficking networks in Baghdad.

    "Two international drug trafficking networks were dismantled in Baghdad, the first network consisted of 10 people of Iraqi and Arab nationalities, while the second was an Arab drug dealer arrested in possession of 6 kilograms of weed, and the drug dealer was arrested as the network arrested two accused working within his network," NSA stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The statement included that, "A drug warehouse in Baghdad belonging to the first network was seized, containing 6 million and 200 thousand narcotic pills, the size of which is a ton of narcotic toxins, and their distribution in Baghdad and the provinces was thwarted,".

    "4 Arabs and 3 Iraqis belonging to the first network were arrested, and based on their confessions, 3 others were arrested as all the accused, from the two networks, admitted their association with international networks and were referred to the judiciary to receive their just punishment," according to the statement.
