Launching of a new security operation south of Samarra, PMF reports

The Popular Mobilization forces (PMF) announced on Wednesday, the implementation of a security operation south of Samarra.

"A force from the 41st Brigade of the PMF carried out today Wednesday, a security operation in the Tal al-Dhahab area, and south of the holy city of Samarra," PMF said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The statement added that "the operation included the search and disinfection of orchards, forests, sewers, reeds and waterways," noting that "this operation comes for the purpose of perpetuating the security and operational effort and to miss the opportunity for the remnants of terrorist remnants."
