The commander of the Counter-Terrorism Service(CTS), First Lieutenant-General Abdul-Wahab Al-Saadi, affirmed his aspiration for more cooperation with French special operations.
CTS said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that " Lieutenant General, Abdul-Wahab Al-Saadi, received at the headquarters of CTS today, Thursday, the French Special Operations Commander, Major General Bertrand Togos," noting that "during the meeting, means to develop cooperation between the CTS forces and the French special operations in the military fields, in addition to the international efforts in the war on terrorism within the comprehensive approach.
Al-Saadi expressed his appreciation for this visit, stressing that "Iraq defended on the world during the barbaric attack launched by ISIS on the region."
He added that he "looks forward to more cooperation and exchange of experiences between the forces of the anti-terrorist service and the French special operations."
The French Special Operations Commander referred to the "important role that the Iraqi counter-terrorism Service plays in the war against ISIS terrorist gangs," stressing that his visit "aims to strengthen these efforts and support the heroes of the counter-terrorism Service at all levels."
