PMF: A security operation launched in the Hatra desert south of Mosul

Popular Mobilization Forces announced Thursday the launch of a security operation in the Hatra desert, south of Mosul.
A statement by the PMF, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the army forces, with the support of the 44th Brigade, the Special Regiment of the Nineveh Operations Command units for the PMF, operations and intelligence departments, medical and military engineering directorates - carried out today, an inspection and security operation in the Hatra desert south of Mosul."
The statement added, "The operation aims to pursue the remnants of terrorist groups in the desert."
