Al-Halbousi accepts the resignations of the Sadrist bloc’s deputies from Parliament

    Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi approved the resignations of the Sadrist bloc’s deputies from the House of Representatives.
    The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, had directed today, Sunday, to submit the resignations of members of the Sadrist bloc to Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi.
    Al-Sadr said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the head of the Sadrist bloc, Hassan al-Adhari, should submit the resignations of the members of the Sadrist bloc to the Speaker of Parliament, with his utmost thanks to them for what they have provided in this short period, thanks are due to our allies in the National Rescue Alliance for their patriotism and steadfastness., they are now free of me, may God reward them well.”
    He added: "This is a special thanks to our cousin, Mr. Jaafar al-Sadr, who was our independent candidate for prime minister."
    Al-Sadr added, "This step is considered a sacrifice from me for the sake of the homeland and the people to rid them of the unknown fate, as we sacrificed previously for the liberation of Iraq."
