Real Madrid, the Spanish and European football champions, announced the signing of Monaco's young French international midfielder Aurelien Chuamini for six seasons, in a statement on its official websites on Saturday.
"Real Madrid and Monaco have agreed to transfer the player Aurelian Chuamini, who will be linked to the club for the next six seasons," the club wrote.
The 22-year-old must undergo a medical examination before signing the contract and submitting it at noon on Tuesday.
Chuamini, 22, became the second player to join the Royal Club after German defender Antonio Rudiger, who came from Chelsea.
The French player preferred to join the European champions, rather than move to Paris Saint-Germain, the French champion, who expressed his interest in contracting with him.
The midfielder's talent exploded with Monaco after he moved to his ranks for 20 million euros in January 2020 from Bordeaux, and with the French national team, with whom he played 11 games and scored a goal.
Chuamini participated in the last three matches of the "Rooster" team in the European Nations League competition, which he holds the title, in the loss against Denmark 1-2 and the draw with Croatia 1-1 and Austria 1-1, knowing that he won the title of the last edition.
