Abdullah calls to allocate sums for emergency support law to build housing units for families of martyrs

    Deputy Speaker of Parliament Shakhwan Abdullah called Wednesday for allocating funds for emergency support to build housing units for the families of the martyrs.
     
    The media office of the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that " in appreciation of the martyrs’ great sacrifices, the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, called today the Parliamentary Finance Committee to allocate amounts of money in the proposed law on emergency support for food security and development to build housing units for the families of the martyrs from the Iraqi army, the Peshmerga forces, the Popular Mobilization and the security services who fought bravely against the terrorist organization Daesh.
     
    The statement added that "the deputy speaker of parliament directed, in an urgent official letter, the Parliamentary Finance Committee to allocate funds for building housing units for the families of the martyrs reaching to (2000 housing units) in each of Iraq's governorates within the financial allocations for the development of governorates and regions in the proposed law."
     
    Abdullah stressed, according to the statement, "the necessity of directing these amounts to provide housing for the families of the martyrs, to preserve public money and to ensure that it is not wasted or spent on unnecessary aspects."
