An Iraqi-Egyptian-Jordanian agreement to hold continuous meetings to face challenges

    Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein agreed today, Monday, with the Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Samih Shoukry and Jordan, Ayman Safadi, to hold continuous meetings to face challenges and enhance tripartite cooperation, while Safadi said that his country will start supplying Iraq with electric power at the beginning of next year.

     

    Hussein said during a press conference after his meeting with the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We discussed with the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan the situation in the region and the world," noting that "we discussed with the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan issues concerning the three countries."

     

    He added, "We also talked about joint work between the three countries to face challenges, in addition to discussing the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on the countries of the region," noting, "We agreed to hold continuous meetings between the three countries."

     

    In turn, Egyptian Foreign Minister Samih Shoukry affirmed, "Our visit to Iraq is an opportunity to enhance tripartite cooperation," noting that "the goal of the tripartite framework is to support Iraq."

     

    He continued, "We are working to strengthen Iraq's position and restore its position in the region and the world," noting that "we look forward to continued work and coordination between the three countries."

     

    And he added, "We are working on forming a unified vision to meet the challenges," noting that "the electrical connection between the three countries has reached advanced stages."
