BAGHDAD-INA
Chairman of the Finance Committee Hassan Al-Kaabi announced Sunday the allocation of more than one trillion dinars in the emergency support law to address the issue of four segments, while indicating that the financial allocations will be at the expense of the ministries and governorates if the law is voted on.
Al-Kaabi said in a speech during the committee meeting, which was attended by the reporter pof the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "this meeting came for the purpose of completing the vote on the food security law within the committee, and working to approve the law before the end of the current legislative term," noting that "the law included allocated amounts for the Ministry of Commerce to buy local and imported wheat, rye, farmers’ dues, allocations to the Ministry of Electricity to maintain electric power during the summer, and allocations to the petrodollar-producing governorates.
He continued, "The law also included the discussing of lecturers, contracts, daily wages and degree holders, as these segments have suffered over the past period due to the lack of a budget," explaining that "the law will include a financial allocation to compensate the liberated provinces from ISIS gangs."
He indicated that "the sums will be in the ministries and governorates account, as soon as the law is voted on."
