PM stresses the readiness to face any potential crisis this summer

    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi stressed his readiness to face any potential crisis this summer.

     

    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi chaired, today, a meeting of the Energy Committee, in the presence of a number of ministers," noting that "the meeting was devoted to discussing the situation of electrical energy, overcoming obstacles, " The meeting discussed the maintenance and repairs of electric power transmission networks, the mechanisms for providing fuel for electric power plants, and finding quick solutions to the problems that may hinder the sustainability of its work.

     

      "The person in charge of managing the Ministry of Electricity, Adel Karim, gave an extensive presentation on the ministry's procedures in providing energy and the increase in production, as well as in the hours of supplying citizens with electricity compared to last year and previous years," noting that "the results of the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Electricity to the Islamic Republic of Iran were reviewed to discuss the issue of importing Iranian gas. The statement added.

     

    During the meeting, Al-Kadhimi stressed the importance of continuing efforts and working at the highest pace, in order to provide electricity to citizens, prepare to face any potential crisis this summer, and provide possible solutions to address it quickly.

     

    Al-Kadhimi directed "the ministries concerned with assigning the Ministry of Electricity and meeting its needs, and helping to overcome the obstacles that they may face, to ensure that the best service is provided to citizens."
