BAGHDAD-INA
National Investment Commission set Friday two points for the state to support and make industrial cities projects successful, while confirming its support for the establishment of new free zones in the country.
The head of the National Investment Commission, Suha Al-Najjar, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The commission supports the establishment of new free zones, especially for the industrial sector, because this work will be supportive of the Iraqi economy, in addition to providing job opportunities and introducing foreign currency."
She pointed out that "there are challenges in practice that must be faced, and there is a tendency from the state in general to support the issue."
She added that "there are two points directed to the state to support and make the industrial cities successful, first represented in allocating lands that have a competitive advantage, and providing infrastructure financing."
Al-Najjar stressed that "if the infrastructure is not provided by the state, it will face very great difficulties."
