Minister of Culture: The body of Al-Nawab will be buried in Najaf

Minister of Culture Hassan Nadhem announced on Saturday, that the body of the poet Muthaffar Al-Nawab will be buried in Najaf, according to his will.

Nazim continued: "Today, the body of the poet Muthaffar Al-Nawab returns to his homeland after years of exile, and it will remain a great sign and symbol that will always inspire his lovers," stressing that "the poet recommended to be buried in Najaf Cemetery next to his mother."

Earlier, the body of the great iconic poet Muthaffar Al-Nawab arrived home from Sharjah in UAE. The poet Muthaffar al-Nawab died on Friday in a Sharjah hospital at the age of 88 after prolonged illness.
